Heldmaschine

Heldmaschine («Machine for heroes») is a German industrial metal band formed in 2011 in the city of Koblenz. The band was known as Völkerball up to 11 May 2013. Their songs resemble the songs of the popular German band Rammstein, that has inspired the musicians. The band perform in such genres as Neue Deutsche Härte and industrial metal, and it is characterised by the rigid electronic sound, merging with heavy guitar riffs and drums. In their music, the band often uses numerous samples, vocoder vocals and choral insets.
Actually, the band was founded in August 2011. At the same time the first single Radioaktiv was released, the premiere of which was released on 26 August 2011, as well as the self-titled vedeo clip for filming of which a famous music video director Mark Feuerstake was invited, who previously worked with bands such as the ATB and Rammstein. The song tells about the dangers of smoking. More than 300,000 people watched this video clip on YouTube, and it was really a great start. Next the band records the album, and set a release date on 11 November. But release was delayed for the next year. To help fans to wait, a new single Gammelfleisch was released on 11 December. The album titled Weichen und Zunder was released on April 6, 2012. All songs are written in the style of Rammstein, and the lyrics are presented only in German. The CD contains 12 tracks, including the previously unreleased singles Gammelfleisch and Radioaktiv. The group took part in the recording of the single Das Gerücht by the famous German band Tanzwut. On 20 October 2013 the band released their second video clip for the song Doktor, directed by Michael Bёdom. On 25 October 2013 the band released the third single of the band – Weiter! Lyrics of the single connect the era of knights and squires with current war years.  On 28 March 2014 the band released their second studio album Propaganda, which like the previous one performed only in German. The album consists of 12 tracks, including the singles Weiter! And Propaganda. It can be mentioned that the lyrics of the new album are even more brutal, more ambiguous, more provocative, and create images that can stick in mind of a listener for a long time. The second CD is almost the continuation of the first one, since half of the songs were recorded in 2012, and many of them were performed at concerts before the release. On 11 September 2014 the band announced that of one of the leading guitarists Marco Fetter left the band; Dejan Stankovic replaced him.  On 20 July  Heldmaschine released the single Wer einmal lügt and announced the new album Lügen. On 2 September 2016 the first trailer of the fourth studio album Himmelskörper was shown on the official channel.
